BUFFALO RAPIDS IRRIGATION DISTRICT NO. 2
Terry, Montana
SEPTEMBER 24, 2013
The Special Meeting of the members of the Buffalo Rapids Irrigation District No. 2 at Terry, Prairie County, Montana, was held on the twenty-fourth day of September, 2013 at 9:30 a.m.
There were present and participating at the meeting:
Barry Rakes
Lance Kalfell
Also present and participating were: Raymond Strasheim, Secretary; Pat Davis, Treasurer.
President Barry Rakes called the meeting to order, stating that all necessary and advisable business be conducted during this time and that notice had been received by each Board Member.
Thereupon, President Barry Rakes announced that legal notice had been given and a quorum was present so that the meeting was legally and lawfully ready to transact business.
MANAGER’S REPORT:
Ray Strasheim met with Mr. Mike Ames of Agri Industries-Prairie Pump and Machine on the week of September 19, 2013. Ray informed the Board of the discussion that was conducted on that day.
Ray presented to the Board invoices that had been submitted to Buffalo Rapids Irrigation District No. 2 for the work done on pumps during the previous year. He also presented a profit & Loss Statement of Prairie Pump and Machine. Mr. Ames stated to Mr. Strasheim that he needed an increase in cost for repairs for work performed for District No. 2.
The Board reviewed all documents presented and discussed them at length. The members of the Board also discussed many different options available to the District.
Ray stated that he had spoken to Lower Yellowstone Irrigation manager concerning the issues of pump repairs for their respective irrigation districts.
Mr. Ames indicated that he would entertain an offer for the Prairie Pump and Machine shop. The Board discussed what a viable option would be.
Buffalo Rapids Irrigation District No. 2 will consult an attorney on the issues presented to the Board concerning Agri Industries-Prairie Pump and Machine.
The meeting was adjourned on a motion by Lance Kalfell, seconded by Barry Rakes. All in Favor. Motion Carried.
